(October 2006) Instead of creating a studio clean render of a model or an architecture scene, I thought it was time for a change and create something rougher.

I had this idea to make an Old Box of Screws and just kept adding and tweaking to it until it got to this! It was good fun to model and texture this little scene.

Modelling took about 2 days with all the tweaks, I also textured it as I was modelling. Render time took 26 mins 43 seconds, with ambient occlusion pass over the top to give the shadows more depth (without it the screws look as if they were floating)
